What "R" Us?

About Richard Septic Systems, Inc.

My father, Roger Richard (left) started this company in 1946 as Richard's Well Tile Company, precasting concrete drain tile and well tile for the houses my uncle was building nearby. He made his first concrete septic tanks in 1952 as shown here at the Torrington Home Show in April 1952. Assisting him is Fred Vickers (right).

Since then we have grown to be a 14 employee operation, making over 30 yards of concrete products daily. Over 100 product variations are delivered on five delivery trucks. All of our products are described in the "R Products" pages.
